The Skin Shop Skin Editor V Rhythm

Vibrating devices for base makeup have been around for a while now, and I finally got a chance to see what the fuss is all about with the Skin Editor V Rhythm.

Name: The Skĭn Shop Skin Editor 스킨에디터 V Rhythm V 리듬
Price: ₩ 40,000
Made in: Korea
Release: June 2012

Skin Editor V Rhythm vibrates at 16,000 times per minute. It is palm sized (W45×H70.5mm) and the shape reminds me of an egg. Very cute!

The puff applicator is tucked into the vibrating body and it comes with a removable bottom part. The packaging makes it easy to tote around for touch ups.

This is easier said than done as I would never dirty the puff that way. It only comes in contact with my freshly washed face prepped with skincare goodness. Food for thought, perhaps I should get another one for my purse and save myself the hassle of changing the puffs?

The box comes with pictorials:
How to use

You can use it with any of the base makeup in your arsenal, may it be a BB cream, tinted moisturiser, liquid foundation or powder foundation.

The finish it produces is rather amazing. I got a light even coverage with no patchiness. It looks extremely natural yet flawless, as if my base makeup fused with my skin.

It did fine on the topography of my face since you can angle it and all but I would refrain from using the machine around the uber sensitive eye area. In a sense, this makes it not as user friendly (I would prefer a device that works on all areas of the face).

How to change refill puff

The puff feels soft and plush. It blends like a dream and works well with whatever texture you throw at it. It is a lovely gesture for The Skĭn Shop to include four additional NBR refill puffs into the box.

How to change battery

It is extremely easy to change the battery (pop the cap off and take the battery out) and the whole process only takes a jiffy. Skin Editor V Rhythm comes with a CR2032 battery, which is very common so no worries on that front.

Overall, look no further if you are in the market for the latest fad from the ever innovative Korean brands. Otherwise, you will do fine with your fingers/brushes/makeup wedges.

Any questions? Did I leave anything out? Leave your comments below and let me know what you think!

Wow! What a novelty. I feel like getting it just for fun. I'm amazed that it gave you pretty even coverage. How does it fair around the side of the nose, though?
