La Roche-Posay Effaclar K

My nose is one of my sore spots. Not only it is large and flat, it also is infested with the mother of unsightly things - comedones! I decided to try Effaclar K after hearing how it did wonders for one of my friends.

(Source: laroche-posay.com/)

Name: La Roche-Posay ラ ロッシュ ポゼ Effaclar K エファクラ K
Price: S$ 38.90 for 30 ml
@cosme rating: 4.3
Made in: France

It has a light runny consistency and absorbs in a flash. The scent isn't pleasant but it isn't awful either.

I can foresee a tube lasting quite a while. I use a tiny amount on my nose and the area surrounding it.

I noticed it taking effect in just one short week. It does not completely obliterate comedones, however, it does reduce the amount significantly. My nose is very smooth to the touch and it no longer looks congested.

I have used Effaclar K for two months before sharing my joy with you guys. Here's a look at my nose after it went a week without any extractions:

I'm extremely pleased that I can cut down on using pore packs from thrice to once every fortnight. Even then, I do not pull out much gunk; a far cry from how it was previously.

All in all, I think it is one of the best discoveries that I made this year and I highly recommend it! I only wish that it is sold in Malaysia.. the picture of the well stocked display below was taken when I visited Singapore a few moons ago.

The full ingredient list for Effaclar K:
Aqua, Isononyl Isononanoate, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Salicylic Acid, Ammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide, Octyldodecanol, Zinc PCA, Sodium Hydroxide, Retinyl Linoleate, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Cetyl Alcohol, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Parfum.

Good girl! I love and use LRP a lot and my first product ever was the Effaclar K (just recently listed it in an FOTD as well, since it makes such a good pre-foundation moisturizer). Their Anthelios (?) sun care range is just as awesome!

*will run to the pharmacy to get this at the first opportunity*

I've tried the Effaclar gel from la Roche Posay but didn't know of this little number - it sounds miraculous! I will definitely try this as my nose and surrounding area need some TLC! Thank you for the recommendation!!!

This looks really promising! I am using the Pore Clear Pack by Laneige and it helps with getting rid of some of the blackheads but some are really stubborn lol! I will try this as soon as my Laneige one runs out! :D

I don't know what to say. You have a nice nose, so I don't recognize what you wrote about it.

LRP really makes the most amazing products. Haven't heard of this one before, thanks for the review! Good to know how effective it is. Have you tried their Ceralip lip balm and their Anthelios sunscreens? Really good stuff.
