Sampar Poreless Magic Peel

Woe is me! I have the hard to treat combination skin. Some products are too moisturising which leads to breakouts while some are too dry for me, and this usually results in unsightly peeling. So you can envision my glee when I was presented with Poreless Magic Peel.

With its formula rich in restorative enzymes, Poreless Magic Peel swoops in to save your skin in the fight against imperfections, smoothing its surface and reinforcing its natural ability to repair and heal. This daily anti-blemish solution is ideal for combination and oily skin. (Source: sampar.com/en/)

Name: Sampar サンパー Poreless Magic ポアレス マジック Peel
Price: RM 126 for 30 ml
Made in: France

This day moisturiser has a gel-like consistency. It sinks into the skin quickly and leaves my skin silky smooth. It provides sufficient hydration without leaving my skin dry or tight.

At first I was shaken by the unique aroma (sulphur comes to mind) but a few seconds after it settles into my skin, it begins to emit a refreshing and minty smell. I am guessing that this is the workings of the natural essential oils?

This magical potion softens the skin's texture like no other. It unclogs my U-zone from impurities, but is not able to replicate its success on my T-zone.

I also noticed that it is lacking in the mattifying department. It does not eliminate the need for blotting sheets. As usual, my T-zone thwarts any attempts made to tame it. It becomes as shiny as it can possibly be with or without Poreless Magic Peel.

I would love to cut Sampar some slack (you know I love this brand to bits!) but I can't seeing as it fails to meet my expectations. Sampar needs to amp up the dosage of Lentil Seed Extract in the formulation to keep oilies and thus comedones in check.

Still, some do enjoy Poreless Magic Peel. Reviews here and here. If you find yourself interested in it after reading their accounts, head on over to the Sampar counter at Parkson Sunway Pyramid or Robinsons The Gardens.
