My Beauty Diary Review: Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser, Vanilla Soufflé Face Scrub, Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask

I was running low on both cleanser and exfoliator and by chance recalled that I have an unopened box of My Beauty Diary Sweet Teatime Mini Set (甜蜜午茶迷你組) in my drawer.

The cleanser is ensconced in a tub with a twist cap. Not the most hygienic packaging, which is why My Beauty Diary enclosed a little spatula in the full sized version.

It foams nicely and has little exfoliating bits that does nothing for me. It cleanses well but it does not leave my face soft and plump like my HG cleanser.

Vanilla Soufflé Face Scrub changed my perspective on peeling gels. It is amazing!

It is basically an exfoliator with a peeling effect in mousse form. After some gentle massaging on a dry clean face, the mousse forms eraser-like shavings.

My skin has never felt so smooth or bright. I am in awe and rightly so!

I immediately went out and got the full sized can. SaSa had a 46% discount for it but it is still considerably more expensive than retail in Taiwan. I can't for the life of me, understand why My Beauty Diary is so expensive in Malaysia.

Recommend: Yes. It helped to moisturise my face and the scent is just out of this world yummy. I would suggest to those watching their weights to stay away; you would immediately crave for ice cream and that just beats the whole point of eating healthy. It absorbs a little slower than the Earl Grey Tea & Macaron variation, which is my favourite My Beauty Diary mask, but the essence does sink in eventually.

Burberry Beauty Autumn/Winter 2012

Cara Delevingne fronts the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign featuring an effortlessly elegant look to reflect the mood of the Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012 runway collection.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jazz Reen and Burberry's make-up artist Adrian at KLCC slightly over a week ago. Adrian gave me a makeover as per Cara's look and was really detailed in explaining the products applied on my face.

My verdict? I loved my makeover and the products are just amazing!

Fresh Glow is a must for those looking for a natural and dewy glow. Velvet Foundation feels feather light on the skin and so comfortable on. And of course my prep wouldn't be complete without Rosy Beige to neutralize the blue hue of my dark circles and Light Beige for a touch of luminosity.

The eyeshadows blew me away with its colour payoff, complexity and silky smooth texture.

Before removing my eye makeup some nine hours after my makeover, I noticed that I had minimal creasing on my oily lids - and Adrian only used Midnight Brown as a base. Colour me impressed!

Earthy Blush has just enough warmth to ensure it looks very natural on the skin. I never would have thought that it will flatter as a blush, but obviously I was wrong.

The lip combo of Dusty Rose with Sepia Pink dabbed over it and Nude Glow patted on middle of my lips - deep rosy pouty perfection.

It is currently very popular in Japan and you can see everywhere on magazines that we know and love as shown in the November 2012 issue of ViVi:

The gel comes in a fuss-free no-frills opaque pink tube with a small opening to minimise air exposure thus ensuring its efficacy.

It has a nice lightweight watery-gel like consistency. The potent alcohol scent hits me the second I uncap the tube. It eventually evolves into a floral fragrance when I massage it in.

The gel takes around a minute to sink in. It instantly hydrates and makes my skin look supple.

I did not notice an improvement in terms of tone and the texture of my skin within a month of using it both day and night in place of a moisturiser (you can't blame a girl for having too many opened toners and serums on her vanity).

It also does not combat oiliness nor does it minimise the appearance of pores as claimed by others using this product. And believe me, I have gone through all of their reports before going out and getting myself a tube. My pores still resemble orange peels in size...

Having said that, I would recommend it to teens with normal to combination skin who are searching for a basic skincare product that won't burn a hole in their pockets. It does not cut it for us me who puts up with more woes than an average teenager.

Usually I am left pretty much satisfied with the recommendation from the reviewers on @cosme, so this gel is a double let down. I will not repurchase once I am done.
