Kicho Argan Brush Cleanser & Cleanser Wipes

Kicho offers two options for cleaning your brushes: a thorough wet wash and a quick-dry method.

Argan Brush Cleanser (260 ml) is specifically designed to thoroughly clean (green tea, iris, calendula, lemon, sophora root and citrus extracts) and condition delicate bristles (argan oil). It lifts makeup off my brushes and restores them to their pristine selves. Plus, let's face it, the nice smell is a big help!

There are 2 ways I use the it. No.1: swirl my brushes in circular motions in the solution until clean, then rinse. No.2: spritz both sides of my brush before gently blotting clean with a towel.

The second point leads me to the Argan Brush Cleanser Wipes (1 box (×5)) because I use it to spot clean my brushes too! It is great for extending the amount of time to go between washes. And, if you must share your brushes - I would highly discourage it, by the way - keep a wipe close by to curtail the spread of bacteria.

I wouldn't substitute wipes for regular deep washes with the fluid, nonetheless, I would recommend it if you are always travelling... I would toss a sachet in my makeup kit if my trip lasts for more than a week though I don't believe it is a must-have. It is like that last slice of pie. An indulgence? Yes. A necessity? No.

They cost US$ 20 and US$ 15 respectively on kichocosmetics.com.

Kicho Water Recipe Cleansing Water

Kicho has done it again! If you are looking for a rant, you will have to come back some other time because I have nothing but praise for the Water Recipe Cleansing Water.

Name: Kicho 키초 Water Recipe Cleansing Water 바다 한 줌 클렌징 워터
Price: ₩ 15,000 for 120 ml
Made in: Korea

How effective is this cleansing water? The pictures below tell all!

Tested against Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara, Dejavu Lasting Fine a Brush Pen Liquid and Mamonde True Color Lip Stick

It erases every single trace of stubborn mascara and eyeliner. The cleansing prowess is just phenomenal. And simple wiping motions will do; no rigorous rubbing required. I didn't even have to press and hold my cotton pads to my lids for 30 seconds! It feels so gentle that I can't imagine it aggravating sensitive skins.

So, what is the Water Recipe Cleansing Water? As its name suggests, it is a cleansing water (heh!). It utilises the power of deep sea water, seaweed extract, papaya enzyme and coconut water to thoroughly cleanse for skin that's comfortably clean, hydrated and refreshed.

For convenience, ease of use, portability and cleansing on-the-go, this cleansing water can't be beat! Hogwarts passing grade: outstanding.

Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream SPF50+ PA+++

A few months ago I raved about the Sheep Oil Cream from Kicho and now I am back with another one of their offerings, the Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream.

Name: Kicho 키초 Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream 울트라 모이스처라이징 선크림 SPF50+ PA+++
Price: ₩ 36,000 for 50 ml
Made in: Korea

Besides the usual suspects to keep UV rays at bay, this sunscreen also contains nutritional bean extracts alongside a patented blend of 7 natural ingredients to soothe and moisturise the skin.

The smell takes me through a vast expense of chemically enhanced greenery - not that I am complaining because it is far better than the typical sunscreen fragrance, haha! The texture is a light, milky cream. It leaves a film on my skin, much like how a facial oil would do.

Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream is rich enough that I can jump straight into it right after my toner. My face feels very comfortable, and not stripped or tight when this is the only thing I wear. It is not the airiest sunscreen that I have used nor is it as thick as goo... it lies somewhere in between.

The one downside to this sunscreen, for me at least, is the certainty that it will cause my eyes to water after an hour or so. It must be something in the label that I am not meshing with! For now it is remaining in rotation (one of the many perils of having too many things open at once) but I try to keep it as far from my eye area as possible.

Are you going to brave this sunscreen? It is sold at Whole Foods Market in Time Warner Center New York, SaSa outlets in Singapore, Lotte Department Store (Gangnam Branch) Seoul, and kichoshop.com.

Kicho Sheep Oil Cream

Hello, hello, hello! At last, a review from me because I simply could not wait to share about this baa baa beauty treat. Y'know, the making of this post has been fraught with difficulties - I accidentally wiped away my first set of photos - and it certainly taught me not to be so gung ho with the 'Empty Recycle Bin' option, haha!

Name: Kicho 키초 Sheep Oil Cream 양유크림
Price: ₩ 58,000 for 65 ml
Made in: Korea

Formulated with Lanolin from Germany and a blend of eight berries (Raspberry, Strawberry, Acai Palm, Goji Berry, Sea Buckthorn, Blackberry, Blueberry and Cranberry), Sheep Oil Cream works to regenerate, retain and prevent premature skin ageing.

The rich, balmy cream feels almost like the horse oil cream that I have been using. But this is where the resemblance ends. It has a higher absorbance rate (no matter how much is used!), making it less burdensome (a word that is widely used in the K-Beauty world!) on the skin.

Due to the presence of silicones, I would recommend using it in the morning so it can act as a primer of sorts. The silicones help the cream to glide easily, while the oils nourishes - so there is no tacky feel at all - leaving skin velvety soft. While my skin looks plumper and dewier, I didn't exactly notice a difference to the depth of my wrinkles? But I am only three weeks in, and I have three-quarters of the jar to go before I can form a conclusion!

One of the best things about this cream (aside from the gorgeous packaging) is the scent! The lightly scented lemony cream is a treat to the senses and nothing about it is funky or like a dish washing liquid. I have used lanolin based products in the past and they all emanated a weird odour.

Kicho's Sheep Oil Cream is sold offline at Whole Foods Market in Time Warner Center New York; SaSa outlets in Singapore; Lotte Department Store (Gangnam Branch) Seoul; and online at kichoshop.com for US$ 58.

The full ingredient list for Sheep Oil Cream:
