Clinelle PureSwiss Thermal Spring Water

Name: Clinelle PureSwiss Thermal Spring Water
Price: RM 20.05 for 50 ml
Made in: France

The base of the mist is thermal spring water, sourced from Bad Schinznach in Switzerland which is supposed to have incredible effects on the skin due to its mineral-rich composition.

mg/L
µg/L
Sodium 474
Calcium Carbonate 308
Sulphate 177.5
Calcium 4.8
Potassium 3.05
Magnesium 0.141
Nitrate <0.06
Phosphorus 0.01
Lithium 238
Strontium 151
Aluminum 91
Iron 30
Gold 20
Molybdenum <20
Zinc 14
Manganese 13
Barium 11
Selenium <10
Titanium 4
Copper <4

This ticks all of my facial mists criteria and some: refreshes, soothes, moisturises and it does all of that without leaving a lingering residue.

The nozzle produces the finest cloud of mist - it is so easy to go overboard since it is very light. The way to use a thermal spring water (or even mineral water) mist is to let it sit for a minute or so, and then gently pat off the excess. Patting it off is the key if you don't want your skin drier than it was prior to spritzing.

My only moan is the funky aroma. I have been to the Roman Baths complex in the English city of Bath and it was not a pleasant experience sensorial wise (I am assuming all hot springs are an acquired taste). In this case, I am most likely getting a whiff of Bad Schinznach's Aquarena without having to fork for the entrance fee (price here).

PureSwiss Thermal Spring Water is recommended for all skin types including sensitive and is available in stores at all leading pharmacies and online on clinelle.com in three sizes: 50 ml (RM 20.05), 150 ml (RM 41.25) and 300 ml (RM 62.45).

The full ingredient list for PureSwiss Thermal Spring Water:
Aqua (Swiss Bad Schinznach thermal spring water), Nitrogen, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Benzoate.

Clinelle CaviarGold Firming Lotion

Name: Clinelle CaviarGold Firming Lotion
Price: RM 59.30 for 180 ml
Made in: Korea

Like the eye serum, this sparkle infused lotion is also formulated with Triple-Gold Lifting & Firming Complex to minimise pores, refine skin texture and allow better penetration of subsequent skincare products.

I thought that the large opening meant that I would have to squeeze shake the product out, thus a thick, viscous liquid came to mind but I was greeted by a thin, runny liquid. It threw me for a loop, haha! This consistency meant that it absorbs quickly without leaving a tacky film behind.

It forms a moisturising barrier over my skin - a tangible veil if I am being precise! I can't stop touching my face when I have this lotion on. My skin is markedly smoother with it than without it.

I have been using this product for four weeks now (closing in onto five) and I have noticed no difference aside from that initial boost in softness. As to why this is, it could be that my ageing mug needs more concentrated dosages (since I fared very well with the eye serum). If you have used this product, please feel free to chime in with your thoughts. Everyone reacts differently!

If you plan to buy something from clinelle.com, be it this lotion or another product, use the code FANWHTEKUVO20 to get RM 20 off your total (only valid for orders above RM 100)!

The full ingredient list for CaviarGold Firming Lotion:
Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Ethanol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trehalose, Forstyhia Suspensa Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Caviar Extract, Acetyl Heptapeptide-9, Colloidal Gold, Carbomer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, CI77491.

Clinelle CaviarGold Firming Eye Serum

Name: Clinelle CaviarGold Firming Eye Serum
Price: RM 101.70 for 15 ml
Made in: Korea

CaviarGold Firming Eye Serum is formulated with a revolutionary Triple-Gold Lifting & Firming Complex that combines Caviar (rich in nutritious elements) with encapsulated 24K Nano Gold (stimulates collagen synthesis) and plant PhytoGold (80 times more effective than Arbutin).

It promises to lift, firm, hydrate and nourish the eye zone. It does the last three really well. The first, well, not so much... Then again, this is only my tenth day in, and my saggy eye area may need more pampering before any lifting can be seen. To use, pat a drop of the serum with your middle and ring fingers, follow with a 6-point circulation massage and end by circling the eye area.

Like most ladies, I covet gold - a surefire sign that I am no longer a spring chicken. I wasn't this keen on gold in the past! *clears throat* Anyways, it is really fascinating to see the gold capsules that were suspended in the tube melting into my eye contours. Perhaps my eye bags can glow now that it has taken in some gold? Haha!

The full ingredient list for CaviarGold Firming Eye Serum:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Ethanol, Adenosine, Forsythia Suspensa Fruit Extract, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Caviar Extract, Acetyle Heptapeptide-9, Colloidal Gold, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethyl, Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, PPG-26-Butheth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sucrose, Mannitol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, CI77491, Tin Oxide, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Hydroxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA.

Clinelle WhitenUp Even Effect EE Cream SPF50 PA+++ Ivory & Natural

I am starting off the week with a brand new EE cream! Clinelle's WhitenUp Even Effect EE Cream features an exclusive Advanced Skin Perfection Tri-Complex, which instantly delivers 15 beauty effects in just one touch:

Whitening and Anti-ageing Complex derived from Purple Rice Extract which prevents melanin formation for fairer skin while the anti-aging Peptide reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Hydration System with innovative micro-encapsulated Aqua Capsules (water droplets form when you spread the cream) that locks in moisture for all day hydration with an instant cooling effect; while Hyaluronic Acid works as moisture magnet and can hold up to approximately 1000 times its own weight in moisture.

Skin Protection Complex that is derived from natural Sea Buckthorns as nutrient supply to promote skin restoration while Chamomile which is an anti-oxidant to boost skin defense, soothes and calms skin sensitivity.

Name: Clinelle WhitenUp Even Effect EE Cream SPF50 PA+++
Price: RM 65.90 for 30 ml
Made in: Korea

This alphabet cream comes in two shades, Ivory and Natural. Natural, the warmer of the two, is a better fit for me. Had it been slightly yellower, it would have been a perfect fit... now it stands at 85% match, haha! It is quite a creamy formula which works really well buffed in with fingers, sponge wedges or air puffs.

Ivory - Natural

The coverage is medium, but most probably can be built up to give a flawless finish. It corrects visible flaws (mild cases of dark circles and hyperpigmentation) while smoothing out skin tone by quite a bit. As a bonus, it does a decent job in transforming (greasy) shine into glow. Suffice to say that it also tames the oilies a little!

I noticed that tears don't leave streaks upon application of this EE cream. And I know this because I turned on the waterworks in the cineplex, even though I make it a point not to cry when I have makeup on. Having to hurry to the nearest restroom to retouch my warpaint is such a hassle!

The one thing I can't take to otherwise an awesome product is its tendency to pool in pores, especially the huge ones on my nose. I suppose this can be easily rectified with the use of a silicone based primer but I was hoping that it didn't need supplementation from other products.

This EE cream has already hit the pharmacy shelves and is also available online on clinelle.com.

The full ingredient list for WhitenUp Even Effect EE Cream SPF50 PA+++:
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Arbutin, Hexyl Laurate, CI 77492, PEG-10 Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Talc, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-10 Dimethicone Crosspolymer, CI 77491, CI 77499, Sodium Chloride, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Adenosine, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Silica, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Hydrolyzed Pearl, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8.

Clinelle Review: WhitenUp Whitening Spot Corrector Essence, WhitenUp Whitening Serum, WhitenUp Whitening Day Cream SPF20

I have stopped using brightening products for a while now and to my displeasure, I noticed that I have gotten darker. What better time to jump back to that bandwagon? With impeccable timing, mere days after I voiced my thoughts, several products from Clinelle's WhitenUp range made their way to me.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese brands, the products in WhitenUp are enriched with Japanese Purple Rice Extract, Vitamin C, Daisy Flower Extract and Hydrolyzed Tahitian Black Pearl to promote all encompassing flawless fairness.

WhitenUp Whitening Spot Corrector Essence

Name: Clinelle WhitenUp Whitening Spot Corrector Essence
Price: RM 59.90 for 15 ml
Made in: USA

Did you know that treatments such as the Whitening Spot Corrector Essence are supposed to go right after the toning step? Why? You want it to be close to your skin, so that it will be able to penetrate deeply and to avoid interference from other products.

I have been using it for a number of weeks now on my hyperpigmentation, both old and new. The newer ones fared well for they were lighter than when I first started out but I had no luck in fading older spots.

It gives a smooth, velvety finish, and you'd best wait a couple of minutes for it to set before following up with an oil (I forget my serum on occasions) since it has a tendency to pill.

The full ingredient list for WhitenUp Whitening Spot Corrector Essence:
Aqua (Water), Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Olivate, Glycerin, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sorbitan Olivate, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, PEG-75 Stearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Steareth-20, Ceteth-20, O-cymen-5-OL, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Metabisulphite, Vanillin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Dextrin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Grandis (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Hydrolyzed Pearl.

WhitenUp Whitening Serum

Name: Clinelle WhitenUp Whitening Serum
Price: RM 79.90 for 20 ml
Made in: USA

At first I was not overly pleased with the scent. It was different from the usual suspects because it was medicinal enough to create an impression of seriousness yet tempered with floral hints for a more agreeable olfactory experience. In time I grew to appreciate it, and now I take in deep whiffs every single time I apply the serum. Whitening Spot Corrector Essence bears the same scent as well, however, I don't use it near to my nose, so I don't get to enjoy it.

It has a clear, watery texture, almost as if it was brimming with moisture. With frequent use of this serum, I found my skin to be brighter, so this is definitely a keeper. As the serum spreads effortlessly, you can get away with applying one pump's worth of product. I use two - my neck needs some tender loving care too. Haha!

I only wish that Clinelle sized up. I am seeing an end to the 20 ml bottle all too soon.

The full ingredient list for WhitenUp Whitening Serum:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Sclerotium Gum, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium EDTA, O-cymen-5-OL, Sodium Metabisulphite, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Dextrin, Vanillin, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Grandis (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Hydrolyzed Pearl.

WhitenUp Whitening Day Cream SPF20

Name: Clinelle WhitenUp Whitening Day Cream SPF20
Price: RM 53.90 for 40 ml
Made in: USA

This moisturiser dries to a semi-matte finish and imparts a brightening effect. You can feel it when you wear it (it seems to form a tangible veil on the skin). I think the formula is more suited towards normal or oily skin types considering it lacks the moisture needed for drier skin types.

Even though Clinelle tried to mask it, there is indication in the fancy floral scent of the presence of sun protection ingredients (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide).

I feel less guilty about skipping sunscreen when I have this on. I am good about wearing sunscreen when I am out and about but not so much when I know I am going to be indoors. Just one question for my dear readers, am I supposed to cleanse it with a makeup remover or will a regular cleanser do?

It would have taken a step closer to perfection if it were to have a PA rating - can't forget the UVA rays! We need all the help possible to delay signs of ageing.

The full ingredient list for WhitenUp Whitening Day Cream SPF20:
Aqua (Water), Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Glycerin, Methyl Anthranilate, Glyceryl Stearate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Galactoarabinan, Titanium Dioxide, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 60, Phenoxyethanol, Zinc Oxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium PCA, Xanthan Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate (D-alpha), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, O-cymen-5-OL, Sodium Hydroxide, Vanillin, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Grandis (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Dextrin, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Hydrolyzed Pearl.

Clinelle WhitenUp is available at AEON Wellness, Caring, Guardian, Watsons and selected independent pharmacies nationwide. Like their Facebook page or visit clinelle.com to keep abreast of Clinelle's latest news and events.

Clinelle Review: Moisture Booster, Blemish Clear Mask, Blemish Clear

Wrapping up my review on Clinelle (see part 1 reviewed here), I bring you the last three products, along with my final thoughts on the brand as a whole.

Moisture Booster

Name: Clinelle Moisture Booster
Price: RM 72.90 for 20 ml
Made in: France

Moisture Booster is a serum loaded with Sodium PCA, which is supposed to hydrate the skin. This serum also contains a plethora of botanical extract with soothing properties.

It feels like a gel and not watery like Hyaluronic Acid serums. A hydrating serum without Hyaluronic Acid as an ingredient is very novel to me.

This serum smoothes across the skin easily and absorbs instantly leaving no greasiness behind. It kept my skin in a nice hydrated condition. Having said that, it did not go the extra mile by improving suppleness or plumping fine lines.

I use two pumps on my face twice a day which lead to it depleting quickly. My bottle did not quite manage to last the full month.

The full ingredient list for Moisture Booster:
Aqua (Water), Cyclomethicone, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Sodium PCA, Glycerin, Ammonium Acrylolydimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Trehalose, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Allantoin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methyparaben, Panthenol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Chlorphenesin, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Extract, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract, Centellia Asiatica Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Camellia Sinesis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Sodium Citrate.

Blemish Clear

Name: Clinelle Blemish Clear
Price: RM 28.90 for 15 ml
Made in: France

Containing elements such as Isodecyl Salicylate and Zinc PCA, this gel helps control oil and calm inflammation.

It goes easily on the skin without smelling foul like some other blemish treatments. It does not dry out affected areas and as it claims, it is fantastic at mattifying my oil slick nose.

I will report back with a thorough review once I pit it against a pimple. Fingers crossed that I won't have to cross that bridge!

The full ingredient list for Blemish Clear:
Aqua (Water), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Hull Powder, Isodecyl Salicylate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate/VP Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Zinc PCA, Methylparaben, Glyecrin, Propylene Glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Allantoin, Pyridoxine HCI, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Citric Acid, Chlorphenesin, Biotin, Tromethamine, Potassium Sorbate, Disodium EDTA.

Blemish Clear Mask

Name: Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask
Price: RM 39.50 for 50 ml
Made in: France

For a clay mask, Blemish Clear Mask is pretty mild. It does not dry out the skin nor make it feel tight. This mask made my skin feel clean and smooth and washed off easier than other clay masks but it still required a bit of work.

I did not notice any improvement to my skin after consistent usage; enlarged pores are as prominent as ever and comedones are still embedded deeply in my skin.

I use a generous amount every single usage and I usually apply this mask once or twice weekly so I can see myself draining the whole tube quickly.

The full ingredient list for Blemish Clear Mask:
Aqua (Water), Beeswax, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Nylon-12, Butylene Glycol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Illite, Kaolin, PEG-75 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Dicaprylyl Ether, Sclerotium Gum, Lauryl Alcohol, Ceteth-20, Steareth-20, Pentylene Glycol, Chlorphenesin, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopherol, Bisabolol, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Ethylparaben, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Carbomer, Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid, Oleanolic Acid, Sodium Metabisulfite.

Would I purchase other products from Clinelle? Certainly! They have some duds but the number of gems outweigh them. They also have released some interesting products for example the Advanced Night Repair duo and the Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Serum, which I am very interested in trying out. In addition, Clinelle skincare does not break my bank and they have safe formulations... what more can I ask for?

Clinelle Review: Deep Cleansing Gel, Purifying Toner, Moisture Glow

Clinelle is here to help! Their dermatologist-tested products are created to free skin from rapid internal and external environmental aggressions. Clinelle has stepped up to the plate by coming up with a combination of botanical extracts, natural essential oils and antioxidants to repair, refine and reshield skin and they do not including the following ingredients in their formulations:

✤ Artificial colouring
✤ Artificial fragrance
✤ Comedogenic ingredients
✤ Lanolin
✤ Mineral oil
✤ SD-Alcohol

Deep Cleansing Gel

Name: Clinelle Deep Cleansing Gel
Price: RM 33.90 for 100 ml
Made in: France

This has been a fantastic year to me, cleanser wise. I found lots that I really liked i.e. Ole Henriksen's Aloe Vera Deep Cleanser, Naruko's Tea Tree Oil Out Acne Clay Cleanser and now Clinelle's Deep Cleansing Gel. This gentle cleanser dispenses as a gel which gives a mild lather. It has a pleasing smell.

A pearl sized amount is sufficient to cleanse my face.

It goes deep within the skin without causing irritation. You would think that this cleanser would strip all the moisture from your skin from its name but it is the complete opposite. My face feels so firm and soft.

Although it does not completely obliterate acne, I noticed that my skin did clear up slightly and I I have lesser breakouts after I started using this cleanser. Considering that one tube can last up to two months, the price is certainly friendly to the wallet.

The full ingredient list for Deep Cleansing Gel:
Aqua (Water), Disodium Cocoglucoside Citrate (Disodium Cocopolyglucose Citrate), Acrylates Copolymer, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Butylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Methyparaben, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Bisabolol, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Menthyl Lactate, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract.

Purifying Toner

Name: Clinelle Purifying Toner
Price: RM 33.90 for 200 ml
Made in: France

It is so hard to find a toner without a drop of alcohol in the pharmacies these days. Most of them are alcohol based, so this toner will be up your alley if you are in the market for an alcohol free toner.

This toner clears away oil, purifies and soothes my skin making it feel soft and refreshed after use. It is the perfect companion to a beauty tool that I purchased and started utilising a few days ago. No other toners draw out impurities like Clinelle's Purifying Toner!

It has an unusual herbal scent, it is not exactly pleasant yet it is not offensive either. I got used to it after a week. Aside from the scent, I have no other gripes about this toner.

I truly believe that this toner along with the Deep Cleansing Gel helped maintain my current blemish free complexion over the last couple of weeks.

The full ingredient list for Purifying Toner:
Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Isodecyl Salicylate, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methyparaben, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Propylene Glycol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Allantoin, Panthenol, Pyridoxine HCI, Niacinamide, Biotin, Tromethamine, Chamomillia Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Disodium EDTA.

Moisture Glow

Name: Clinelle Moisture Glow
Price: RM 38.90 for 50 ml
Made in: France

This moisturiser has a thick consistency like a sunscreen. It feels rather tacky at first and eventually dries down. It leaves my skin feeling plump, moisturised and not oily.

A pea sized amount is sufficient for the entire face. You would need more if you want to apply it to your neck.

After two hours or so, I begin to see my T-zone oiling up. It is surprising behaviour for a moisturiser for oily skin types - Clinelle should have injected more mattifying ingredients to it.

And since everybody loves the oil blotting film test, here is how it fared after two hours:

I have stopped using it in the day time and usually reserve it as a night cream. Although it has a rich texture, it does not break me out.

That being said, it might interest you to know that there is something magical in this moisturiser that makes my skin glow (yes even before the oilies take over). It really lives up to its name, which is why I would recommend it to people with drier skin types.

The full ingredient list for Moisture Glow:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cyclomethicone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium PCA, Cyclopentasiloxane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Isohexadecane, PEG-75 Stearate, Ceteth-20, Steareth-20, Sclerotium Gum, Xanthan Gum, Dimethiconol, Panthenol, Tocopherol Acetate, Allantoin, Polysorbate 80, Methylparaben, Chlorphenesin, Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Sorbitan Oleate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Tetrasodium EDTA, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylene Glycol, Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Extract, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Citrate, Potassiun Sorbate, Disodium EDTA.

The products mentioned in this entry are for normal to oily skin types. Clinelle products are sold at pharmacies and beauty specialty stores nationwide where they regularly go on sale.
