Aveda Thickening Tonic

I have been struggling with really straggly, thin ends because my hairdresser gets too snip happy. I have already trimmed some (maybe a quarter?) of it off but my hair still don't have that full-bodied swish. And while I wait for it to grow (I just couldn't bear to cut it all off), I am making do with the Aveda Thickening Tonic!

Name: Aveda Thickening Tonic
Price: RM 133 for 100 ml
Made in: USA

Proven to thicken hair with just one use, this 97% naturally-derived tonic bonds to the hair, adding a layer that thickens each individual hair strand making hair thicker and fuller from roots to ends. It has Amla to thicken each individual hair strand, Wheat Protein to protect against thermal damage from heat styling, corn-derived polymer to give hold and Acacia Gum to provide lightweight bulk to the hair.

Thick trick:
Shake well.
On towel-dried hair, spray Thickening Tonic thoroughly from roots to ends in sections.
Blow-dry hair with a round brush, using a nozzle to direct the air down each section.
Brush dry hair into the desired style.
Finish with hair spray.

I skipped and but feel free to go all the way!

The mist bulks up hair fibers by depositing a hint of grit. I can feel it when I run my fingers through my hair but there is nothing to worry about because it isn't noticeable. If you use dry shampoos, you will know what I am talking about! The added texture comes in useful to hold an updo as we all well know that it is simply impossible for fresh, silky hair to gather in some semblance of style.

These days, not only do I sport thickened locks, I also waft around sweet smelling strands thanks to the combination of certified organic Vanilla, Bergamot and Clary Sage. It is very herbaceous and at the same time, peppery. This fusion relaxes and uplifts - dare I say it is the type of aroma that encourages me to better myself and save the world environment while I am at it? Heh!

My hair could do with a hit of volume at the crown, so I think it will work well with the Volumizing Tonic™. The phrase 'thin is in' may apply everywhere else but definitely not the hair! They are both sold at all Aveda Experience Center retail stores and Aveda Salons nationwide for RM 133 and RM 122 respectively.
