I am such a neutral lover that I completely turned my back on Nature Blue for three whole years. It has always lingered at the back of my mind, should I use it or swap it? I am too much of a Lunasol lover to let it go, so here is a review at long last.
Lunasol has improved a fair bit from their older releases. I really enjoy the finely milled buttery texture.
The colours clockwise from bottom left: pale fern green, ivory, powder blue, dark chocolate. The colours are easily buildable and blendable and they have a hint translucency without compromising on colour payoff.
Swatches.
Nature Blue as seen on Akiko Tsunoda from Sweet magazine.
I was inspired by her look.
Lasting power was pretty decent with some minor creasing at the inner corners. The shadows except for the powder blue shade remained vibrant throughout the day without any fading.
Will Nature Blue show up on tanned skintones? Definitely! The opposite is true in this case, it might be too pale for fairer ladies.
If you want to experiment with colours but are afraid of looking too crazy, the Lunasol counter will be your place to go. They have plenty of subtle and elegant colours at their disposal.

gahh not sure if it erased my previous comment >.< as I was saying, since I've been on a bit of a blue kick lately after years of avoiding the color, this color combo is right up my alley. Love your EOTD, especially the finish on that blue. I think if I were to get a Lunasol quad, I'd definitely start with this one.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colors..unfortunately blue looks ugly on me TT
ReplyDeleteHmm, I like blues, but how do you wear them without looking like a teenager?
ReplyDeleteA light hand helps ^^
