I should not be allowed to purchase lipsticks. I tend to be drawn to shades that do not suit me plus I always buy into the hype (can anybody resist Tsubasa Masuwaka?). Why else would I bring Ramune (Lemonade) Pink home?
Candy Doll's lipstick glides on the lips easily. For a matte lipstick, it is not exactly moisturising nor is it drying. It is a little mix of the both and surprisingly it has a nice semi dewy finish that makes my lips look soft.
Matte lipsticks show every line, crack and whatnot, so be sure to exfoliate and moisturise well before wearing them!
In terms of colour, Ramune Pink swatches as a pink beige. Upon application, it shows up as a nude pink. Colour payoff is pretty decent for it to show up so well on my pigmented lips.
I would like to love this lipstick but it is not the most flattering shade for my complexion and it makes me look like death warmed over. As much as I adore nude lips on others, it is a different matter altogether when it comes to myself.
What do you think of the lipsticks from Candy Doll? Have you tried any yet? You can buy Candy Doll products at SaSa outlets nationwide or from sasa.com.

ReplyDeletebut did you know that CandyDoll released a new collection of lipsticks this March and I like the Pink Grapefruit color <3
Agreed, I love the baby pink and nude lips look, but can never find the right shade!
ReplyDeleteI can't wear nude lipsticks either. I liked your description of how it looks
ReplyDeleteon you. LOL! It's exactly the way I would describe it.
Love the shade, but can never pull off the nude lipstick look either! 'Death warmed over' is the best way to describe it! I think it depends on our skintone as well...
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! Mabel, what lipstick colours do you usually buy?
ReplyDeletei have the same problem with nude lips. it just makes me look ghastly even though i love the trend but i really want to make it work!
ReplyDeleteMy skin leans towards the 'cool'/pink toned, so my favourite shades are usually pink or blue-based like Rimmel's Rose Passion! But it doesn't hurt to experiment with corals once in a while! :)
ReplyDeletesame here when it comes to nude lips! I can't say for sure I like that idea...they washed me out completely LOl
ReplyDeleteThis type of colour is verging on too neutral for my skintone, but I wish i could pull it off like Tsubasa: anything could look good on her! >.<;;;
ReplyDeleteI'm not wild about the colour in general. I always prefer a sweeter pink!
