I can't keep up with Etude House. They release new products at the speed of light!
I have here the Sweet Pumpkin lifting wash off pack. It contains 6,250 mg of pumpkin and is free from parabens (파라벤), tar derived colouring (타르색소), talc (탈크) and mineral oil (미네랄오일).
How to use:
After facial cleansing and prior to toner application, massage pack onto facial surface. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Leave for 10 - 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Use 1 - 2 times per week. Use pack brush to apply and gauze to cover face for best results. (Source: etude.co.kr/)
My masks got a little squished whilst on its journey to my doorstep.
I can't put my finger on the scent. It smells a little like a bakery but it is not overwhelming and just adds to the experience.
The thick and fluid texture feels pretty much like honey. It has some scrubby bits, which I think might be finely chopped pumpkin but don't quote me on that. It does not dry up, making it easy to rinse off.
On the other hand, the runny texture meant that this mask dripped all over the place the whole time I had it on. I had the dubious honour of tasting it since a tiny bit dribbled into my mouth. It is sweet and I can only hope that it is safe to consume haha!
I did not expect it to heat up and thus was pleasantly surprised. The heating sensation lasted quite a while and just as you rinse it off, the warmth comes back. I really enjoyed this aspect.
The mask feels very gentle on my skin despite all that heat and leaves me with the loveliest baby smooth skin. It also moisturises a little as shown below:
Before.
After.
Sadly, the lifting claim fell short, my firmness level remained more or less the same.
Etude House has other options available if you are not keen on slathering pumpkins all over your face:
Carrot.
Broccoli.
Sea kelp.
Chestnut bark.

That's a cool device...to check your skin's firmness O_O
ReplyDeleteOh my, wanna try these masks/facial packs. They seem so cute! Haha, did not know you could measure the firmness level in your face? :O I hope it is safe to consume.. considering it said to avoid contact with eyes and mouth XD
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very interesting review! I don't like pumpkin so not sure that I would ever venture to try this. Since it's so runny, it must have been messy. Haha, it's a good thing that it tasted pretty good because some went into your mouth. How interesting that it heats up. I don't think that I've ever used a mask that did that.
ReplyDeleteOmg this looks amazing! I love trying things like this! But alas its hard to find them here and i dont have the time to shop online lately....
ReplyDeleteGreat review i would probably try any of them as they are all so cute and fun.
Thanks
Sakrua
Oh that's so cool! I like the look of it and I like that it warms up. And I'm up for anything that moisturizes my skin. I'd be tempted to taste it, too. Haha glad to hear it's sweet
ReplyDeleteI also tried this one, the seakelp and the carrot. Pumpkin was also a disapointing for me, I loved the carrot, you should try that one!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting product!! But even more intriguing is that digital device you have that measures moisture and firmness in your skin - what on earth is that?? :)
ReplyDeleteThat device only measures the moisture level... I must have given the wrong impression in my write up, my apologies for that!
ReplyDelete*ooops* thankfully I'm still alive and well lol! Ahhh no, that device only measures the moisture level, I must have given the wrong impression in my write up, my apologies for that!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that device doesn't measure elasticity. I must have given the wrong impression in my write up, my apologies for that!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging looks so cute! I would love to give this a go just for that.
ReplyDeleteThat product made me sooo curious! :) New follower here!

I can never distinguish whether a product lifts my face or not lol. Greta review.. I actually bought some in Korea from my last visit.. happily given away lol
ReplyDeleteOhh I saw these but I didn't know much about them. If I'd known they heat up, I prob would have tried one! That sounds like it'd be a great feature in the winter, when it's too cold to comfortably wear face masks. Pumpkin sounds like a good one for fall, hehe. Thanks for the helpful post!
ReplyDeleteI wanna try this! This is just so...bizarre! Hahahaha
