Nestle Kit Kats: Gateau Du Mont-Blanc, Big Little Strawberry, Strawberry Cake

It has been far too long since I last tantalized your taste buds with Kit Kats! Hopefully my skills hasn't rusted (^ ω ~)

Gateau Du Mont-Blanc

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Gateau Du Mont-Blanc
Price: ¥ 168
Contents: 58.8 g
Release: October 2011

Of all the places in the world, I bought Gateau Du Mont-Blanc from Giant (a hypermarket) in Singapore. I wish Malaysian Giant would bring Japanese Kit Kats in but that would only happen when pigs fly. I saw it being advertised in the local newspaper and at the very next moment, I was already at Giant juggling boxes upon boxes to the till.

Mont Blanc is a dessert made from sweetened chestnut puree topped with whipped cream. The chestnut element was absent from this Kit Kat but I did get a strong whiff of coffee (I read that roasted chestnuts has a similar aroma to that of roasted coffee beans). It is also very sweet and buttery. I can't make up my mind whether it is good or bad because of the coffee.

Big Little Strawberry

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Big Little Strawberry
Price: ¥ 210
Contents: 64 g
Release date: 21.3.2011

Big Little Strawberry was nestled amongst other delicious snacks in the bag handed to me by Cherie when I met her a while ago. Thanks again babe! She sure knows my weakness for all things sugary.

I like the sour note in this variation because it would be too sweet otherwise. It having wafer coated in milk chocolate probably further helped it from overdosing my taste buds with sugar.

Strawberry Cake

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Strawberry Cake
Price: ¥ 525
Contents: 12.3 g ×13
Release date: 5.12.2011

Strawberry Cake is very sweet and a little on the artificial side. It tastes like a creamier version of the Dutch Lady strawberry milk that I used to drink as a child. Hmmm, it's not weird at all to compare a drink and a snack right? Haha!

Sad to say that I prefer the Big Little Strawberry variation by the tiniest little margin. I'll still finish my bagful of mini Strawberry Cake Kit Kats; just because they are super sweet doesn't mean that they aren't delicious!

I'm ending this post with a picture of Kit Kats that I didn't purchase. There's always a next time! *sniff*

  2. Bless your heart!  I used to think it was too frustrating to see these and not be able to try them, but now I know it's better to see them than not know about them at all.  Thank you!!! =)

  3. xD Wah so many interesting kit kats! They all look so delicious, especially the big strawberry ones. I've personally never tried any of the variation kit kats, only the normal ones as they don't sell them here. ;_; Are the green ones you didn't try green tea?

  8. Japanese KitKat heaven!! Wow, now that's well-stocked! "Big Little Strawberry," keke, what a cutesy name. The cake image on the strawberry cake packaging looks delicious, too bad the taste is very sweet and artificial. It's nice to enjoy the LE flavors though!

  16. Your taste bud tantalizing skills are definitely not rusty LOL.  Want these kit kats!  urghh we don't have any interesting flavors in the US, and I couldn't find any in Taiwan last time I was there.  Maybe I am just very bad at looking hehe.  The Mont Blanc flavor looks yummy :)
