Clinelle is here to help! Their dermatologist-tested products are created to free skin from rapid internal and external environmental aggressions. Clinelle has stepped up to the plate by coming up with a combination of botanical extracts, natural essential oils and antioxidants to repair, refine and reshield skin and they do not including the following ingredients in their formulations:
ღ Deep Cleansing Gel
This has been a fantastic year to me, cleanser wise. I found lots that I really liked i.e. Ole Henriksen's Aloe Vera Deep Cleanser, Naruko's Tea Tree Oil Out Acne Clay Cleanser and now Clinelle's Deep Cleansing Gel. This gentle cleanser dispenses as a gel which gives a mild lather. It has a pleasing smell.
A pearl sized amount is sufficient to cleanse my face.
It goes deep within the skin without causing irritation. You would think that this cleanser would strip all the moisture from your skin from its name but it is the complete opposite. My face feels so firm and soft.
Although it does not completely obliterate acne, I noticed that my skin did clear up slightly and I I have lesser breakouts after I started using this cleanser. Considering that one tube can last up to two months, the price is certainly friendly to the wallet.
The full ingredient list for Deep Cleansing Gel:
Aqua (Water), Disodium Cocoglucoside Citrate (Disodium Cocopolyglucose Citrate), Acrylates Copolymer, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Butylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Methyparaben, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Bisabolol, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Menthyl Lactate, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract.
ღ Purifying Toner
It is so hard to find a toner without a drop of alcohol in the pharmacies these days. Most of them are alcohol based, so this toner will be up your alley if you are in the market for an alcohol free toner.
This toner clears away oil, purifies and soothes my skin making it feel soft and refreshed after use. It is the perfect companion to a beauty tool that I purchased and started utilising a few days ago. No other toners draw out impurities like Clinelle's Purifying Toner!
It has an unusual herbal scent, it is not exactly pleasant yet it is not offensive either. I got used to it after a week. Aside from the scent, I have no other gripes about this toner.
I truly believe that this toner along with the Deep Cleansing Gel helped maintain my current blemish free complexion over the last couple of weeks.
The full ingredient list for Purifying Toner:
Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Isodecyl Salicylate, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methyparaben, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Propylene Glycol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Allantoin, Panthenol, Pyridoxine HCI, Niacinamide, Biotin, Tromethamine, Chamomillia Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Disodium EDTA.
ღ Moisture Glow
This moisturiser has a thick consistency like a sunscreen. It feels rather tacky at first and eventually dries down. It leaves my skin feeling plump, moisturised and not oily.
A pea sized amount is sufficient for the entire face. You would need more if you want to apply it to your neck.
After two hours or so, I begin to see my T-zone oiling up. It is surprising behaviour for a moisturiser for oily skin types - Clinelle should have injected more mattifying ingredients to it.
And since everybody loves the oil blotting film test, here is how it fared after two hours:
I have stopped using it in the day time and usually reserve it as a night cream. Although it has a rich texture, it does not break me out.
That being said, it might interest you to know that there is something magical in this moisturiser that makes my skin glow (yes even before the oilies take over). It really lives up to its name, which is why I would recommend it to people with drier skin types.
The full ingredient list for Moisture Glow:

Looks good. I am very picky about toners as well. I like them alcohol free as well. Glad your skin is happy with cleansers this year =D
Wow an alcohol-free toner - it's indeed a rare find! All products sound good, especially the gel cleanser (I like gel cleansers!) and good idea to use the moisturizer as a night cream since it leaves the skin a bit shiny. Thank you for the reviews!
Thankyou for the review Blair! The deep cleansing gel seems lovely. ^^
wow. this seems like a good product. never heard of it. but i wanna give a try.
I think my daughter would like the cleanser--and then I could borrow it! =)
i've never heard of this brand before. looks very promising. i like the blotting paper test too hahaha never thought to try that!
i have been used this product, but no effect on me and the acne is still there..
Bought it yesterday. Let's hv a try first. I hope it is effective n worthy.
Can i ask ? Does the toner needs to be rinse with water after applying it on face ? Im a new clinelle user so i didnt know .
Hello Shasha! No rinsing is required (you'll wash away all that goodness!). Proceed with a serum and then finish with a moisturiser.
