Summer SPF

Edit: To keep up with the ever changing market, this post will be updated on a biannual basis.

Summer is here! Who does not want to be outside enjoying the sun? Make sure you slather enough sunscreen to avoid overexposure to the sun. You would not want wrinkles, sunburn, age spots or skin cancer...

Some sunscreens to keep an eye out for:

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Water Base SPF50+ PA+++. 50 g.

Naris Up Parasola Essence in UV Cut Spray EX SPF50+ PA++++. 90 g.

Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel SPF50 PA+++. 80 g.

Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++. 60 ml.

Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Gel SPF50 PA+++. 2,940円 for 80 g.

Kanebo Allie UV Moisture Gel SPF50+ PA++++. 2,940円 for 90 g.

RaioS (Soap) SPF50+ PA+++. 1,680円 for 70 g.

Acseine Super Sunshield SPF50+ PA++++. 4,200円 for 22 g.

And remember that sunscreen wears off. Reapply every few hours!

GWPs are good! Yes, sunscreen is very important. Another thing that I had learned is that for it to be effective, it has to be on your skin 15 minutes before going out into the sun. If you are already sitting on the beach and slathering on your sunscreen, it is too late. I always try to put sunscreen on my face and neck as part of my morning makeup routine but I also put it on my arms and legs at the same time.

BTW, for the Puff de Cheek blush, I use a brush to apply it. Somehow, I never use the included applicators for applying makeup as I prefer my own collection of brushes. Besides, that puff is too darned cute to use!

Thanks for the sunscreen reminder, I need a powder spy to re-apply later in the day but haven't found one yet.

The Sun Style UV Cut Spray looks interesting, I'm mostly attracted to the colors but I heat the Bioré UV Aqua Rich line is very good.

That's great advice!  But right now it's too, too hot here.  I don't melt in the rain, but I do @ 100F.

so many options for you guys!!! in the US we only have gross thick ones that smell bad LOL or have to pay a lot for high end brands like Lancome or Shiseido, etc. i like sunscreen thats in the milky formula. so easy to obsorb!!

Great suggestions! And for reminding us the importance of sunscreen. I always remember to wear it, but forget to reapply every few hours -especially if I'm directly under the blazing sun.

Even when it's cloudy, the UV rays will get to your skin, so you need sun protection.

Btw, I find PA++ not enough for summer time. And Bioré sunscreens break me out. :( Am using Mentholatum and Shiseido at the moment. ^^
