Christmas With Liz Lisa

It's yet another trip down fashion lane. I bought warm clothing recently, and I thought that I’d share some pictures of them because one is from Liz Lisa!!!

I better cinch this dress up with a belt or else I’ll look like a shapeless lump *not that I’m not a teapot but a belt helps to hide imperfections hahaha*

A simple polo necked top with some embellishments.. I won’t buy anything similar anymore, it is very high maintenance *eyes metal cylinders beadily*

Shorts from my favourite store... so affordable and the quality is just superb!

Liz Lisa skorts. I wanna buy the whole store if possible ♥♥♥

On a model.

I managed to take two pictures of the Liz Lisa store before I went crazy haha~

On that same day itself, I spotted MAQUillAGE’s Powder Celebration set. Absolutely drool worthy but the price is prohibitive at ¥ 12,600 (> ω <)

Last stop of the day… Kate!

Lotus Palace raved about Dual Blend Eyes in her blog and I couldn’t resist getting a few for myself. Please stay tuned for a review on this range!

On other news, here’s something that I’ve been hankering for...

Evangelist BB cream!!

(Source: evangelist.co.jp/)

It is currently the #1 BB cream on @cosme!! It contains marine placenta and EGF and is developed by Nobuto Yanagi, a Japanese makeup artist. You can get it from Rakuten for ¥ 3,990.

This concludes my random entry… thanks for reading, and I wish you a truly wonderful holiday season! (^ ω ^)

Nestlé Kit Kats: Annin Dofu, Miso, Shoyu, Zunda

Time for another one of my Nestlé Kit Kat chronicles! I’m reviewing some unusual flavours in this entry..

Annin Dofu/ Almond Tofu

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Annin Dofu
Price: US$ 2.49
Contents: 12.3 g
Release date: 13.9.2010
Sales area: Kanto region

Japanese almond tofu has no tofu. It's basically a mixture of gelatin, water and milk (or cream). I can’t pinpoint the exact taste of this kit kat - it stirs up memories of cough syrup but this isn’t a completely fair comparison. It tastes a tad bit better than that!

I’ll have to pass if the real almond tofu tastes alike, tofu puddings are so much better comparatively!! (o ω O)

Miso

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Miso
Price: US$ 2.49
Contents: 12.3 g
Release date: 13.9.2010
Sales area: Tokai/ Hokuriku region

The good part about this kit kat? It doesn’t taste like miso at all (^ ω ^)

The bad part? I have plenty of criticisms hahaha. It is very overwhelming due to the multitude of tastes! Sweet due to the presence of the white chocolate base, salty and it ends with a soy sauce aftertaste! *bleugh*

Shoyu/ Soy Sauce

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Shoyu
Price: US$ 2.49
Contents: 12.3 g
Release date: 13.9.2010
Sales area: Kanto region

Pairing white chocolate with soy sauce is certainly unexpected! When I think about soy sauce, something sweet and light coloured will be the last thing to spring to my mind.

Fortunately it doesn’t taste of soy sauce at all - it tastes like any other sweet buttery treat. This flavour is a let-down. Don't get me wrong, it is acceptable taste-wise but there’s nothing out of the ordinary about it.

Zunda

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Zunda
Price: US$ 2.49
Contents: 12.3 g
Release date: 13.9.2010
Sales area: Yamagata Prefecture

I wasn’t keen on the variants in this review except for Zunda. Some of you are probably freaked out by the concept of sweet edamame (soybean pods/ boiled green soybeans) but don’t worry, it’s delicious! In case you were wondering, zunda is a sweet mashed edamame paste that is used in a variety of desserts.

The white chocolate shell melds harmoniously with the edamame flavour. The resulting combination tastes slightly like red bean paste, but not as sweet. It’s light, refreshing and really interesting to eat!

My verdict:
#1 Zunda
#2 Shoyu
#3 Annin Dofu
#4 Miso

You can get these regional kit kats from napaJapan. They are so much harder to get than the regular flavoured ones!

Look With FACE atelier

Look at what came in the mail!

These sample jars are from FACE atelier, a Canadian-based company. They believe in sophisticated, versatile makeup that simply works. And works simply. Many celebrities are fans of this brand including Fergie and Lady Gaga!

Ultra Foundation

Name: FACE atelier Ultra Foundation #1 Porcelain
Price: US$ 45 for 30 ml

My normal shade is in between #1 Porcelain and #2 Ivory. #2 Ivory is more beige and the slightest bit more tanned compared to #1 Porcelain. I can go with either one since their shades are extremely close, but for this FOTD I decided to go with #1 Porcelain.

It melts into my skin and feels really lightweight on. I can take my own sweet time to blend it out, it won’t look streaky or patchy at all as some foundations are wont to do (Maybelline Angelfit I’m talking about you!).

The coverage is medium, it evens out discolouration and also conceals part of my scars. I still need to use concealers but I can forgo them if I want. It doesn’t hold up against oil, I had to blot twice but other than that, I'm loving it especially the dewy finish ♥♥

I’m utterly charmed by this foundation, and I have only used it for a week! This calls for a full sized bottle!! Is there an IMATS taking place soon?

Ultra Blush

Name: FACE atelier Ultra Blush Pink Satin
Price: US$ 25 for 7.5 g

The compact contains a mirror – it feels pretty durable and sturdy.

There’s a lot of hype on matte blushes and I never quite understood why as I’m a fan of shimmers in my blushes. Well, I’m a convert after using Pink Satin on my cheeks! Matte blushes are so easy to wear plus they suit every skin type - shimmery ones tend to maximize facial shine.

Pink Satin is silky smooth and soft to the touch. It has fairly good pigmentation, but it is rather light. I don’t see it working for darker skinned babes but it will certainly flatter those with more porcelain complexions.

All in all, I absolutely love the pastel pink colour! It gives me the perfect natural flush The amazing non chalky texture and colour payoff is drawing me towards the other shades!

Lip Glaze

Name: FACE atelier Lip Glaze Peach
Price: US$ 24 for 15 ml

Peach, an orange with flecks of gold shimmer, has sheer-medium pigmentation. It has a nice high shine effect, non sticky consistency and it feels comfortable on! It is also quite moisturizing.

For those of you who dislike fragrance and flavouring, you’ll be relieved to hear that it is both fragrance and flavour-free.
