I decided to review all of the Lavshuca eyeshadow palettes that I own in one entry. It is easier to compare texture, colour payoff etc this way =]
Dual Eyes GN-1
Dual Eyes GN-1 is a light golden bronze paired with dark khaki (from left).

Name: Lavshuca ラヴーシュカ Dual Eyes デュアルプリズムアイズ GN-1
Price: ¥ 1,365 for 2.1 g
@cosme rating: 4.5 ★
Release date: 1.8.2008

Dual Eyes was discontinued recently, perhaps because they now have the prettier Custom Selective Eyes which debuted in November 2009.
Pigmentation: ★★★★★★★ superb pigmentation with just one swipe
Shimmer: ★★★★☆☆☆ dazzling, but too sparkly for me
Texture: ★★★☆☆☆☆ dry when compared to the other
Recommend: Yes. I looove the colours in GN-1. I do prefer quads but a duo doesn’t bother me~~
Grade Color Eyes GN-1
Grade Color Eyes GN-1 has a pale yellow, cream, light green and a deep greyish green (from left).

Name: Lavshuca ラヴーシュカ Grade Color Eyes グラデカラーアイズ GN-1
Price: ¥ 1,680 for 2.7 g
@cosme rating: 4.7 ★
Release date: 1.2.2009

Pigmentation: ★★★★☆☆☆ moderately pigmented, the darkest shade has the best colour payoff
Shimmer: ★★★★★★☆ subtle, not over the top at all
Texture: ★★★★☆☆☆ smooth although it is incomparable to Melting Eyes
Recommend: Yes! I’m essentially getting three colours because the two lightest are similar when on my lids. Thankfully the other quads in this range have more distinctive shades.

Light Mix Eyes BU-1
Light Mix Eyes BU-1 has a deep blue with pink and green flecks, a yellow with a smattering of blue dots Mixing Highlight, teal and a light silvery blue Lighting Powder (clockwise from bottom left).

Name: Lavshuca ラヴーシュカ Light Mix Eyes ライトミックスアイズ BU-1
Price: ¥ 1,680 for 3.2 g

Pigmentation: ★★★★★☆☆ good pigmentation
Shimmer: ★★★★☆☆☆ mediocre shimmers
Texture: ★☆☆☆☆☆☆ chalky Mixing Highlight, the other three shades lean towards the dry side
Recommend: No!! The texture is subpar although I do like the colours offered.
Colours available:

Melting Eyes BR-1
Melting Eyes BR-1 has a taupe brown, champagne, tan and dark brown (clockwise from bottom left).

The design of the case is more intricate compared to the previous releases

Name: Lavshuca ラヴーシュカ Melting Eyes メルティングアイズ BR-1
Price: ¥ 1,680 for 2.9 g

BR-1 is supposedly a dupe for Lunasol’s legendary 04 Neutral from the Lighting For Eyes series. I might do a comparison later on since I own both quads.
Pigmentation: ★★★★★☆☆ pigmented and buildable
Shimmer: ★★★★★★☆ elegant and refined
Texture: ★★★★★★★ soft, buttery smooth, the best amongst the four. It even tops some of the high end eyeshadows that I own!
Recommend: YES!! Plus it gets lots of additional points for having a nice girly packaging.

Lavshuca is a pretty good brand to look into if you’re in the market for drugstore Japanese eyeshadow palettes. They have good quality eyeshadows and I read that their lipsticks are pretty good as well. Definitely a brand worth purchasing!

Gah, you make Melting Eyes sound so good! I have only one Lavshuca palette at the moment, and I'm hoping it stays that way. :P;;; I wasn't too impressed with my Dual Eyes when I first got it, but I might give it another try, its @cosme rating is not bad. It's a pity about the Light Mix Eyes though, they look so pretty in the pan. :(
Great review! Now you've got me lemming for the Lavshuca Melting Eyes BR-1 ^_^
I'm so going to the get Lavshuca Melting eyes because it melts my heart!!
Thanks for the swatches! I only have their eye select heart shaped palettes which are quite good, no chalkiness whatsoever. Would love to try the light mix eyes that you swatched, the colours are so pretty!
Melting eyes and Grade Color eyes sound great! Can't wait when I can finally order things online lol Lavshuca will definitely be on my list :P
Super pretty colors! I really like that last palette =P

Great review! I was pondering which Lavshuca palettes I should get when I go Taiwan next month!
After reading your reviews, I think I will just buy a few Melting Eyes quads and Dual Eyes (if I can find them). ^-^
these look really nice i wished i had bought some when i was in japan totally regret it now =(
I have yet to try Lavsucha e/s palette! I'm interested with the melting eyes now :D
I have Light Mix eyes too and I have to agree it's kind of on the chalkier side, especially the speckly colour for me :/ Nonetheless, I do still like it. I have BR-2 I think, the brown neutral with blue/white speckle highlight colour. I have two of the Eye Colour Selects and I love them both, the shimmer and texture is divine! I want to try the Melting eye series too now...but I heard that the neutrals are on the warmer side...thoughts???
They are indeed very pretty, I was indecisive which one to get in front of the lavshuca counter. I left with empty in the end because I take age to finish an eye shadow. ("b)
I have a Grade Color Eyes that I'm not so crazy about anymore b/c of the fallout even when I'm wearing primer underneath. Melting Eyes sounds very nice however, I'll have to go swatch those before I leave Taiwan.
Hi Blair,
I live in the South-Est France, in Provence, in a town called 'Grasse'. It's the town where perfume were invented centuries ago. And this is where Chanel (and other brands) buy his flowers to create some perfumes.
Where were you few years ago? :D
Lol, really, I like Hello Kitty, but not that much. But I admit, I love these produts, they look fun to have in the bathroom hehe!
The hyaluronic acid gel is cute!
I don't know if it's the upgraded version of the Apple masks. They wrote nothing about it on the website. Did My Beauty Diary changed the ingredients?
This is maybe why we can't find the apple masks anywhere on Sasa and Cosme-De? The new versions are coming?
Oh and, nice palettes!
If I had to choose, my fav' will be the Dual Eyes GN-1 and the Melting Eyes BR-1. This kind of color goes well with my skin tone. Also the packaging is beautiful^^
very good review!
I'm interested in Lavshuca products too, but didn't know which series to go for, seems "Melting Eyes" is not bad!
Have you tried their lipsticks? heard they are not bad also.
Oh my god! Nice is not far from my home! :O
Indeed, there is a Sephora :D There are a lot of great shops in Nice. I go on huge shopping sprees sometimes with my friends xD
And I went to Paris only once in my life lol
Oh okay, they changed the fabric. Hum, so I think I have the old version, the fabric is the same than the Cherry Blossom masks that I used months ago.
I love this Light Mix Eyes BU-1
The colors are so beautiful! *-*
For the price, I don't think this particular Etude House e/s quad is worth it.
I rather get a KATE or Majolica. And also, Majolica's quads are much smoother and more pigmented.
I will swatch and review it some time this week. :) Any camera tips on taking photos of swatches? I've tried taking photos of swatches a few times but they always end up looking crappy/blurry (I don't hav a steady hand).
I am counting down to my trip!! I've lots of stuffs on my shopping list!
The eyeshadows are sooo pretty. love the colours :)

The light mix comes in a very stylish container. LOL, yeah, I know, I've really got nothing to say on this one. But I wanted to say hi and that I hope you're doing well. =)
what pretty colors :) i especially love the greens as well as the neutral one!

You and I pretty much feel the same with Lavshuca shadows. Wonderful review Blair!
Blair, Lavshuca is a new brand for me- even though I don't know anything about it, the elegant packaging is already drawing me in! haha I do think that the colors in the palettes are well-thought out and complimentary to each other. I'm ready to see some gorgeous looks from you! :)
Didn't know that Kanebo making eye shadows too :P Sooo gorgeous shadows! very pretty!
this is too much!!
you need to hav a blogsales kekeke
and they all looked pretty brand new too~ awww aww lav lav lav
where is your EOTD? miss it hun
You are right, the Eye Color Selects are an older line, heheh I'm such a sucker for new releases too! XD ...but-! ....not as big of a sucker as I am for pretty packaging! The cute flower motif caught me soooo hard lol
Thanks sooo much for reviewing this!! I am really interested in the new melting eyes and I'm totally sold. Would you be doing the comparison to Lunasol LIghting for eyes? I would really appreciate that <3 thanks!
Hello istase2000!
Hmmm I might not do a comparison, the colours aren't similar at all. Lavshuca is so much warmer too..
