Love Pack Review: St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser, LUSH Angels On Bare Skin, NYC Blushable Crème Stick, NYC Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm, NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss, Band-Aid Friction Block Stick

Thank you so much for going through my wishlist with a fine-toothed comb and for spoiling me on my birthday, Diana!

I’m loving all of the products that she got me~

Name: St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
Contents: 200 ml

This gentle cleanser claims that it is hypoallergenic, oil free and non-comedogenic. It has good ingredients like salicylic acid, green tea, olive oil and olive leaf extract and it doesn’t contain parabens and phthalates.

I’ve been using it for two weeks and I really like it. It lathers really well, smells super light and refreshing (reminds me of The Body Shop’s Grape Seed Shower Gel), and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I don’t know if it’ll keep breakouts at bay, but I’ll update this review if it does/doesn’t do its job.

Name: LUSH Angels On Bare Skin
Contents: 0.32 lb

I like the effect it has on me - it makes my skin super soft, smooth and clean. I find the lavender scent very soothing, and I don’t mind making a paste everytime I use it.

Since this exfoliator is preservative-free, I keep a two week supply in my bathroom and refrigerate the rest. Hopefully this will extend its shelf life!

Name: NYC Blushable Crème Stick 644 Plaza Pink and 645 Big Apple Blush
Contents: 8 g x 2

Plaza Pink (left) is a coral pink. Big Apple Blush (right) is a cranberry pink. Diana owns these crème blushes as well, and you can read her thoughts on them in this entry.

I watched an episode of 女人我最大 (I believe it is one of the April ones) and in it 小凱老師 layered a rosy cream blush under a powder blush and it made the model’s cheeks look so soft and glowy. 小凱老師 said that you don’t have to use as much product this way and it’ll help your blush stay put all day long.

These crème blushes are nicely pigmented, easy to blend and perfect as a base for powder blushes. I have never used them alone, I usually layer a powder blush on top, and my blush lasts all day long! My current favourite combo is Ayura Aura Feel Veil RD01 layered on top of Big Apple Blush.

Name: NYC Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm 509A Sugar Coated
Contents: 9 g

Holly Ann-AeRee mentioned that Sugar Coated is a dupe for MAC Creamsheen’s Boy Bait in one of her vlogs so you might want to consider this particular colour if you’re looking for something that resembles Boy Bait.

Sugar Coated, a light milky pink, is moisturizing and has pretty good lasting power. It has a thick creamy texture and it smells like sweet candy. I do find that it doesn’t show up on my pigmented lips but this is because I don’t layer it much. Perhaps with more layers it’ll show up.

Name: NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss 519 Park Ave Pink
Contents: 8.7 ml

The soft slant-tipped applicator dispenses the perfect amount of gloss. It has a nice non sticky consistency like my HG lip essence which I adore. Park Ave Pink gives my lips a pretty glossy sheen without any shimmer at all.

I find the watermelon scent nice, but for those of you who dislike fragrance in your makeup items, you’ll be relieved to hear that I can’t smell it when it’s on my lips. It also has excellent ingredients like Vitamins A, C, E and plant extracts, so it can double up as a lip balm.

Unfortunately, the pale baby pink colour doesn’t show up on my pigmented lips =[

Name: Maybelline Color Sensational 235 Warm Me Up
Contents: 4.2 g

Warm Me Up is a beautiful brownish mauve. I have reviewed Pink Please, also from the Color Sensational line in this entry, so please do check it out if you are interested to hear my thoughts on the texture, pigmentation etc because they are pretty much similar in those aspects.

Warm Me Up (left) swatched beside Pink Please (right):

Name: Band-Aid Friction Block Stick
Contents: 9.6 g

It’s super useful when I feel a blister coming on or when my toes get rubbed in a shoe. MakeupByTiffanyD, a You Tube guru that I enjoy watching really likes this, which is why I’ve been lemming for it plus I am forever getting blisters on my toes >.<

Name: Nestlé Kit Kat Milk Coffee, Sakura Matcha, Ichigo, Sweet Potato, Custard Pudding and Maple
Contents: 18 g x 4 and 12.3 g x 8

I’m slowly savouring these, a full review should be up shortly!

It’s a pity that patience is a virtue that eludes me.. I wanted show Diana’s wrapping skills! You guys will have to do with a picture of the mess that Hurricane Blair made instead ^_~

Thank you again Diana for tailoring your love pack to fit my taste

Have a good week ahead lovelies! ^^

Happy birthday again!! Our birthdays are just days apart so now I'll always remember yours, hehe.

Diana is such a thoughtful person! And she writes so neatly and wraps like a pro! Love all the goodies she got you!

For the pale baby pink gloss...maybe try using a lip concealer first or even just a thin layer of foundie on your lips? =)

Nice package! The St Ives Cleanser seems to be good! I see a lot of blogger using it. To bad we can't find St Ives in France :'(

The lipsticks and gloss are so pretty. Especially the Park Ave Pink <3

Btw, I love the new layout of your blog!

And, I don't know if you remember, you advised me for a sunscreen a while ago. I followed what you said and bought the "Perfect Face Milk" by Kao Bioré and it's SO awesome! I love it so much. So thank you hehe!

Aww Happy Belated Birthday love!! So glad you got spoiled :) I have the St. Ives cleanser in Olive and it works well. I wouldn't mind getting that Bandaid block stick as well.. I think it's such a great invention for the ladies! hehe yes please let me know how the bun turns out for you.. my instructions were not so great. I can try to look up some tutorials for you if you'd like!

Happy Birthday, Blair! Which date is it?

Love all the goodies you got.

Yes, using a cream blush as a base before layering a powder blush on top will make the blush last longer. I learnt this tip during Estee Lauder Beauty Gossip makeover. :)

Hi love,

Unfortunately, those were sold within half an hour of listing! I'll try to have more similar ones in the future , sorry about that :X

aww happy birthday hun!!! And love all the goodies you got! Yeah I like Paris's LV bag a lot too. And Amanda Bynes was this teen actress hoenstly I can't name a movie she's in (that;s how great of an actress she's in) but I remember her from Maxim's photoshoots and all her clubbing pics paps took of her lol

Karen said...

Oh no, Korean nail polish with no label? :( Be careful! Maybe use a safe base coat first? Aw I don't think I'm ready to make my own videos, but I'm amazed to have found a tutorial that uses the same exact steps that I do for making hair buns! hehe cuz I randomly discovered my method through experimentation. I hope this is more helpful :)

Aw such a lovely gift! Happy belated birthday!! These reviews are fantastic. I'm going to have to try that blush trick.

Also Swedish Fish Gelati is the greates thing ever! It's soft served icecream at the bottom, then swedish fish flavored water ice, then another layer of soft served ice cream on top.

LOL at your comment, I love long flowing locks too instead of short hair. Not many people can pull off the rihanna hair, even rihanna I liked better with long hair!

Hi Blair!

Happy belated birthday! I'm sorry I missed it. I didn't know you were a July baby.

That's quite an assortment of KitKat's. I can't wait for your descriptions.

I agree with you about romantic gifts. I like to send flowers with romantic poems...and sometimes jewelry. My wife has a habit of returning expensive perfume, watches, bracelets...but she does usually hang onto necklaces.

I learn that gradation coats from Catherine! :D

happy (belated) birthday :) It's taking em forever to get to everyone's blogs and comment again! I really like the St. Ives cleanser for the summer - it might be too much for me in the winter, but right now it makes my skin feel fresh & clean at night!
