Cellnique Paramedical Intensive Hydrating Complex

This week for me has been nothing but hot, hot and hot. It makes me hide at home with my air conditioning at full blast. I also drink more fluids at this time which is good as it helps to keep my skin in a good condition (well, better than usual lol).

I always thought that I have combination oily skin, but actually I am suffering from acute dehydration, where my face is producing more sebum than usual to compensate from the dryness. Using all those whitening and oil controlling products do not help either...

This entry is dedicated to a hydrating serum that I have been loving!

(Source: cellnique.com/)

Name: Cellnique Paramedical Intensive Hydrating Complex
Price: RM 199 for 30 ml

Description: A lightweight, smooth texture formulation with high concentration of hyaluronic acid and essential amino acids to bind moisture in the dermal connective tissue and to restore elasticity of the skin. It thereby minimises the appearance of wrinkles and helps deliver an instant supple and smooth skin.

Packaging: White opaque plastic bottle with a dropper. Very practical and sanitary!

Scent: Light chemical scent. It does not bother me at all.

Texture: This clear serum has a smooth silky texture plus it is not too thick or too thin. It absorbs very quickly. Moreover, it can be used on the eye area.

Here is a before and after picture of the fine lines on my forehead since you guys really enjoyed the ones of my cheeks in a previous post haha

What do you think? My lines are not as obvious in the after picture right?

I have been using this hydrating serum once a day for five weeks now, and I definitely feel an improvement in my hydration level. My face feels bouncier and firmer too ^^ Two to three droplets are sufficient to cover my entire face instead of the recommended six.

Ingredients: It has a chock-full of good ingredients like Sodium Hyaluronate (salt of Hyaluronic Acid, able to absorb and hold water up to 1000 times its own weight) and Amino Acids (Proline, Serine, Alanine, Arginine, Threonine, Glutamic Acid and Lysine to protect your skin from the effects of ageing).

Purified Water (Aqua), Glycine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, Betaine, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Proline, Hydrolyzed Algin, Serine, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Extract, Alanine, Rosehip (Rosa Aff. Rubiginosa) Seed Oil, Calendula (Calendula Officinalis) Oil, Arginine, Threonine, Glycolipids, Glutamic Acid, Pro Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), Lysine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

My only caveat is that it is quite pricey. Other than that, I adore this serum to bits!!!

Nothing is better than a cold dessert on a hot day :D

Mango, sago & pomelo

I love using my Hyaluronic Acid serum under the eye area too. It makes it so smooth and soft!
But OMG Blair, 67$ for 30ml? :O
Cellnique products are so expensive. I'm dying to try their new brightening serum though hehe!

@ Anais

Do you use any other eye cream besides your HA serum on the eye area?

Yup, Cellnique Paramedical is on the pricey side :(

@ Pop Champagne

It isn't like sheet masks with the temporary whitening effect. The effect is actually quite gradual (I'm not using any skincare/makeup in the after picture). For some reason, I look like I'm line-free but I can assure you that they still exist, just that they aren't as obvious =)

@ acutelife

You can get Cellnique Paramedical products from their website here.

And yup, b.liv is Cellnique Paramedical's pharmaceutical range :)

@Blair,
Yes, when the HA serum is fully absorbed,I'm using a brightening eye gel (at day), and I'm using an anti-aging eye gel (at night).
HA is really great for the eye area. Is there anything better than HA seriously??? :D

I'm planning to try Cellnique in some months. For the moment I'm addicted to Sasa.com. So Cellnique will wait hehehe!

Cellnique products aren't widely available in HK, which is a shame. But I'm currently using Dr.Wu's Hydrating Serum with hyaluronic acid, which is good. I will get round to reviewing it....sometime, hopefully soon LOL!

Loved your before and after pic, goes to show how that hydrating serums do work a treat.
