It grips your hair with the Velcro technology ala the fringe holder that everyone has.
I would imagine that those with super fine hair having trouble with it holding on. It slides down after a while on me, and I have fluffy (fluffy sounds better than coarse!) hair to begin with. That being said, I think it will work well if you pin or tie your hair in some way to anchor it properly.

I actually really like this on you! Believe it or not, I have even less hair than you, and my hair is thinner, so I'm not sure if this would even work for me! But this is so much better than the US version of this product, called Bumpits. That one looked so bad, it was funny.
